Project 351 Student Ambassador
Erica St. Jean, grade eight student, spoke to members of the School Committee about her recent experiences as Grafton's student ambassador to Project 351.

Project 351 brings middle school students together for a day of community service in Boston.  Erica's group was assigned to work at the Greater Boston Food Bank.  Their first task was to pack 'snack bags' for those who may not have access to nutritional snacks.  The students packed 1,200 bags.  Task #2 involved sorting donated frozen meats that would then be delivered to families.  5,500 lbs. of meat was sorted by the student ambassadors.

When asked about her experiences Erica said "It felt really good to have a positive impact on the community."  Tim Fauth, middle school assistant principal, described the process for choosing Grafton's student ambassador. Students applied and were each asked to write an essay.  He stated the choice was not an easy one but that Erica was a fine representative for Grafton Middle School.
